Why Orange Wallaby?

Often, people ask why we chose Orange Wallaby as our name.

Sometimes, we tell them.

When working in specific industries, many companies choose a name that fits within that industry. But, we plan to work in several industries -- from financial services, to marketing and logistics, to enterprise resource planning, and general problem solving for underserved businesses and consumers.

Another approach is to make up a new word to express what you do, and maybe be catchy, or even fun. But, the trail to success in that direction is littered with the bones of crazy new words made up by drug companies, dotcoms, and domain squatters. So, we avoided that route (tempting as it may have been).

Therefore, we decided to take a more fun playful approach. Adopt a cute furry mascot with quirky behavior and odd physical traits, from a somewhat exotic land down under. And, pick a bright bold color this creature could call his own.

Which gave birth to Wally Macropus, the Orange Wallaby. Be careful, he may be cute but he jumps very high, kicks with his feet, and likes to bite.
